Burgundy has an office and a cutting and polishing facility in Perth, Australia, an office in Calgary, Canada and a diamond sales office in Antwerp, Belgium.

 

Position Overview

 

Reporting to the Team Lead, Mobile Maintenance, and working the two (2) weeks on followed by two (2) weeks off rotation at the Ekati mine site; the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Mobile Maintenance team working in the shop, keeping the area clean, washing equipment, and working with the technicians in a safe, efficient, and productive environment.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

 

  •          Aid with shop upkeep, including cleaning shop floors (push behind sweeper) emptying various receptacles;
  •          Delivery and pick up of parts around site;
  •          Washing equipment prior to servicing;
  •          Moving major components to designated locations (ie returns area);
  •          Assisting mechanics with other various tasks when required.
  •          Demonstrate the ability to always work safe.

 

Education/Experience

 

  •          Excellent listening and communication skills.
  •          Ability to lift, carry and complete physical labor work.
  •          Able to foster in an environment of teamwork, trust, respect and embrace diversity.
  •          Previous experience working in mining is an asset.
  •          Previous experience working with mobile maintenance is an asset.

The Company provides travel to and from the Ekati mine site out of Calgary, Yellowknife, and other northern fly points.
