Position Overview
Are you a student or recent graduate eager to apply your skills in a unique, fast-paced environment? Join our Performance Improvement team at BDM. We are seeking a motivated individual in Finance, Engineering, or Business who is excited to contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Business Improvement team in identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of data to drive decision-making for performance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mining operations, logistics, procurement, and safety departments, to identify areas for improvement.
- Work on cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessments related to operational changes.
- Participate in continuous improvement workshops and contribute innovative ideas for enhancing mine operations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing progress and key findings.
- Support project management efforts, ensuring that improvement initiatives are executed within timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Finance, Engineering, or Business program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
- Willingness to work in a remote location at least once per month.
